Jared began his career as a trial lawyer with the Prosecuting Attorney’s office in Washington County, Missouri, while also serving as City Counselor for the Village of Caledonia and City of Irondale. As an Assistant Prosecutor he served as trial counsel for the State of Missouri before juries and judges on a wide variety of criminal cases. This unique background supports his counseling of healthcare providers on criminal and detention issues. He consults on disputes with the State, particularly regarding placement of wards and other incapacitated persons.

Since 2010, Jared has focused his trial practice on defending personal injury suits, specializing in negligence claims against hospitals and long-term care facilities. His clients include various hospitals and providers of senior care services across Missouri and Southern Illinois, and he has tried cases to verdict on behalf of two of the ten largest hospitals in Missouri.

Jared supports the legal profession as an active member of the Bar and mentor to younger lawyers. He is a past president and former Executive Committee member of the St. Louis Lawyer’s Association.
